technology for classroom

With no actual teaching experience, I am finding it challenging to evaluate different technologies for my classroom. I can see limited pieces of the puzzle. I was shocked thismorning by a simple process called portfolio assessment. I would have skipped over it as boring. After watching a short video and seeing the process in action in an actual classroom, I have a whole new perspective. I am wondering about my ability to assess anything at all. Even if I had a classroom, I feel like there are so many worthwhile tools and processes, how can I ever master them all. I bookmark everything that I think might someday be helpful, because I do not know how I am ever going to remember all of this.

I have just spent time looking at everyones websites, and I am feeling nervous. I hope that it is good enough.

New Technology

It seems that I have been so busy exploring new technology that I forgot to give you my opinion on things. My opinion is that this is blogging is still new technology to me and I already have 4 or 5 new things to get comfortable with. I can't seem to stay up with it all. My major problem right now is that I have somehow entered wrong information into my new email account which I set up specifically for my webpage. Because I entered the wrong server or something (I guessed) it will not accept emails. I can not find my way back into the page where I entered the erroneous information to change it. I would love to ignore the problem, but if it doesn't work for my webpage due date I am in trouble.
The blogline site seems like it would be great for my husband. I am going to set him up. He searches all of his sport sites constantly. If I could get him set up, he would have one stop shopping. We will see. Maybe I could set the kids up too and give them some worthwhile sites right at their finger tips. It might encourage them to look beyond the one or two things they do all the time.
